The group was viciously set upon by villagers who had been manipulated by a local right-wing priest ...。从事进口杂货销售的井之头五郎，是个喜欢在工作之余到处品尝美馔的老饕。只要肚子一饿，就会秉持“吃饭皇帝大”的信念，抛下一切直奔周遭的餐厅食堂大快朵颐。他最爱享受用餐时不被人打扰、细细品尝料理的美好时光，更爱在内心自言自语品评美食滋味。这回，他接到前女友的女儿——千秋的委托，前往法国拜访千秋的祖父松尾一朗，并要帮助一郎找出童年时曾喝过的汤头食谱。尽管线索相当稀少，五郎依旧踏上寻找“究极汤头”的旅程，足迹遍及法国、韩国、长崎和东京。不过在这趟旅程里，他却意外卷入到一场更大的风暴当中。。
