讲述1943年10月，丹麦犹太人的逃到瑞典的故事。。腾冲“赌石世家”唐玉仁上掌盘赢了另一翡翠世家冯仲才；去缅甸寻找翡翠途中两人斗智斗勇。冯仲才之女冯娟喜欢上了唐玉仁；相玉名家孙东岩的出现让冯仲才似乎有了胜算。不久，日军即将占领腾冲，唐玉仁慷慨解囊资助中国远征军赴缅抗击日军，然而，腾冲最后还是以一空城被日军占领，日军在腾冲开始疯狂的掠夺翡翠，并以各种残酷手段逼迫唐玉仁交出翡翠王雕刻“大东亚共荣图”奉献给日本天皇。唐玉仁以超人的智慧和胆略与敌周旋。。Gilbert Gonzalez (Adrian Martinez), feels isolated from the world.
