He follows her through the streets of 60s ...。1988年的夏天，埃尔文和兰斯，他们的工作单调无聊，就是给一条看上去没有尽头的公路，重新画上路标。兰斯寂寞难捱，他没办法在这个没有女人和派对的世界里生活。而埃尔文却正相反，他每天都给远方的女友（兰斯的姐姐）写情书，只要有空，埃尔文就会走进树林、穿过蜿蜒的小路，在树丛和一些废弃的小木屋里待上一会。他和兰斯一起生活，共用一辆汽车、争论、打闹，重归于好。整个夏天，他们只见到了一位陌生人，那个是一个神秘的卡车司机，常常带着自己家里酿的酒出现，随即又像他突然出现那样消失不见……。
