塔莉（米歇尔·菲佛 Michelle Pfeiffer 饰）是个平凡的女侍应，但她心里一直有个当播音员的梦想。她多么想她的梦想能够实现，于是她把自己曾经的拉拉队表演的录影带寄到电视台，她本以为对方不会对她感兴趣的，但仍愿意尝试。
